Paradox of the Broken Love

If your girlfriend tells you: "I don't love you any more", then you are a happy man, cause you are missing who doesn't love you.

If you tell your girlfriend : "I don't love you any more", then you are a sad man, cause you are missing who loves you.

I personally tried both many times. I can ensure the paradox holds.
